Continuing with my nightly MV sessions, I am getting to see more interesting moths in my garden trap. After sifting through the large numbers of
Large Yellow and
Lunar Underwings, and avoiding the (luckily fairly passive)
Hornets, I have had three more year-firsts, one of which is an all-time garden first.
Barred Sallow
Deep-brown Dart (new for garden)
Blair's Shoulder-knot
It was also nice to receive a brief visit from a migrant
Silver Y.
